Parent Teacher Fellowship
Franklin Road Christian School supports and encourages families to be active in our Parent-Teacher Fellowship (PTF). The purpose of the FRCS PTF is threefold: to promote the welfare of children and youth in the home, church, school, and community; to bring into close relationship the home and school, enabling parents and teachers to cooperate in the education of children and youth; to help unite the school and parents in securing the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education for every child.
Parental involvement and support of our school is a very important aspect of your child’s education. FRCS asks each family to serve twenty Family Service Hours each year, (ten for single parent families). There are two main ways the PTF offers opportunities for that involvement: continuing education, and service.
Continuing Education/Parent Meetings
Our continuing education for parents is the way for parents to stay involved with what is happening around FRCS. Continuing Education hours include, but limited to, attending elementary and MS/HS orientations, parent teacher conferences, class meeting, athletic parent meetings, Collaborating Over Coffee meetings (opportunities for you to talk with the administration), and PTF meetings. We have four PTF meetings a year.
The PTF also promotes service in our students and parents, from the smallest child, to the most active high school student and their family. Both groups have logged hundreds of hours of service this year in outreaches to the neighborhood, county, and our service men and women. Parents also have the opportunity to serve as class parents, be on the PTF board, chaperone the various activities that the students have, and serve as chair persons for the various functions that the PTF sponsors.
By supporting the PTF, Franklin Road Christian School is stronger and the lives of the students, parents, and staff are enriched.
