Franklin Road Christian School will be administering the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress®(MAP®) test two times during the school year, fall and spring. The fall administration of the test is as follows:
Elementary: September 6, 8,11, and 12
Middle School/ High School: September 13 and 14
We ask that you make sure your student gets a good night of sleep and eats a good breakfast to help insure they are able to do their best on the test.
These tests determine your student’s instructional level and measure academic growth throughout the school year in the areas of Reading, Language, Math, and Science (grades 3-8). The fall test allows the teachers to see the instructional level each student is at to help them more specifically meet individual needs and provide a place to measure academic growth when students take the spring tests. Your student’s RIT scores from the fall test will be available at Parent Teacher/Student Led Conferences, October 17 and 19.
MAP testing is a powerful tool for monitoring student growth over time. For more information on resources for parents, download the Parent Toolbox at https://www.nwea.org/parent-toolkit/.
Thank you for taking an active interest in your child’s education.
