Band
Middle School band is where students can let
their musical talent be heard. Students will learn
to perform on their own and with others, learn
improvisation and melodies, how to read music,
and listening and analyzing music.
Art
The art students will understand and apply the basic principles and elements of design. They will be able to employ a variety of media and creative processes. Appreciation and recognition of artistic qualities found in nature will be emphasized. Creativity and self-expression will be encouraged.
P.E.
In Physical Education, students will show
increase muscular strength, endurance,
flexibility,
body awareness, and agility through
fitness and
recreational exercises. They will
also work
together in team sports.
Yearbook
Yearbook is devoted to the creation of the
school yearbook. In this class, students study
photography and journalism to document the
highlights of the year. |
Worship Band
In Worship Band students will understand biblical principles regarding worship, and lead in praise and worship as spiritual leaders among their peers, also they will lead worship in Chapel services.
Chorus
Chorus is a class for students to learn music theory, sight reading, proper vocal technique and performance etiquette. They sing in chapel services and perform in three major concerts a year, Christmas, February, and spring, honoring grandparents.
Drama
Middle School Drama is a one-semester elective class that involves 6th-8th grade students. The purpose of the class is to encourage students to be comfortable performing in front of a group. The students learn basic theatre techniques from enhancing their voices to handling basic stage movements. |
