Darlene Jebson, M.A.
Secondary Vocal Music & Drama
Darlene Jebson is a graduate of Marygrove College with her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with a vocal emphasis. She received her Master’s Degree from the same college, in education.
She spends her time, when not teaching students about the love of vocal music, as Brightmoor Christian Church’s worship leader. She has a wonderful, supportive husband and two children who also attend FRCS. Her second passion is the stage. If she is not directing the High School musical, she is most likely in one herself!
Kristie Bink, B.A.
Kristie Bink earned her Music degree from Michigan State University in 2001. Her education also includes studies in Language Emersion at Maastricht University in Maastricht, Netherlands, and Choral Conducting in Stavanger, Norway. After releasing her solo album in 2001, Kristie moved to Nashville, TN. She was blessed to live and teach in Murfreesboro, TN, before moving with her husband to Minneapolis, MN.
She married her college sweetheart, Mike, and they returned home to MI in 2008 to begin their family. They are very active in their church. Kristie is a 5th grade Catechist, Mike runs a personal finance workshop, and the children help them both each year with the Easter week homeless shelter hosted by the parish. Kristie has two young daughters who attend The Train Station preschool and a son at FRCS. She is amazed at the unexpected way God has moved in her family and led them on a new path to FRCS. Kristie joined FRCS in 2016.
Marlin Baker, B.A.
Marlin Baker is a graduate of Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. His education includes attending and graduating from Interlochen Arts Academy and studying Studio Music and Jazz Studies at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. For seven years he taught music privately for his own business, One on One, before coming to Franklin Road Christian School in March of 2005. He has taught African and Latino Music History for the Sphinx Organization which focuses on the contributions that minorities made to classical music. In addition to being an educator, Marlin is a professional performing artist, composer and arranger of music. He has toured the US, UK, Europe and Central America performing jazz music. He is the founder and leader of Zamar Instruments of Praise. Zamar is a modern jazz band that consists of Christian musicians who believe God created all things including the wonderful genre of jazz and is dedicated to glorify Him through it. Zamar is recognized nationally and internationally as performing and recording artists. Zamar has two compact disk recordings that are in rotation on XM Satellite Radio and other radio stations across the US and abroad.
Vicki Baker, M.A.
Vicki Baker earned her B.A. in K-12 art education from Purdue University and her M.A. in curriculum and instruction from Eastern Michigan University. Vicki meets the requirements of a highly qualified teacher in the state of Michigan. She has been at FRCS since 2009. Vicki has previous experience teaching elementary, middle and high school art in area public and private schools. Vicki teaches from a discipline-based art philosophy which infuses art history into studio projects while providing opportunity for self-expression, creative problem-solving and alignment with FRCS spiritual objectives. Vicki has two daughters and resides in Canton with her husband.
Nicole Schinzing. B.A.
Yearbook and Journalism
Nicole Schinzing is a graduate of Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma where she earned a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Education. She has been working in the field of education for the past 19 years in various capacities which include teaching Language Arts, Creative Writing, and Bible. She has also started and directed a preschool. Nicole lives in Commerce with her husband and three children, and she is an active member of Brightmoor Christian Church. Nicole joined the FRCS staff in 2011.
