Glynn Blackwell earned his B.A. in Program Management, specializing in Athletics and Recreation, from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, in 1989. Upon graduation, Glynn pursued his basketball career with the NBA on the Seattle Supersonics team. After being released, Glynn traveled through Europe, playing professional basketball in Turkey and Greece. From 1992 through 1995, Glynn served a mayoral appointment as Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation in Highland Park, Michigan. From 1995 through 1998, Glynn traveled abroad once again to pursue the game of basketball in Mexico, the Philippines, Cyprus, and Estonia.
Glynn worked for the Highland Park School District as the Student Assistant Coordinator and After-School Coordinator for the program, PROJECT LINK, from 1998 through 2002. There he was responsible for developing an extensive after-school program for both sports and academic enrichment.
From 2002 through 2007, Glynn served as the Assistant to the Athletic Director at Faith Christian Academy, a ministry of Word of Faith International Christian Center. Glynn is a licensed and ordained minister of the gospel, seeking passionately to connect sports and ministry, for the glory of God.
Glynn now serves as Athletic Director of Franklin Road Christian School, developing a complete K-12 competitive sports program. Glynn and his wife, Jillian, are happily married, and have three sons: Mackenzy, Johnathan, and Robert Gabriel.
Mike Harris, B.S.
Assistant Athletic Director
Mike Harris is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University, holding a B.S. and Michigan Certification in K-12 Physical Education, and Secondary Health. Prior to joining the FRCS team, Mike taught in the Clarkston Community Schools District for four years. Mike also has extensive experience coaching basketball and baseball at both the elementary and secondary levels. He is the Founder/Manager of the Oakland Whitecaps Baseball organization that teaches baseball and life skills for summer baseball players from age 9-19. His organization has helped over 30 student-athletes move on to play college baseball. Mike joined FRCS in 2007 as the K-12 Physical Education Instructor and boys Varsity Baseball Coach. During this time as Varsity Baseball Coach, the Warriors have won a MIAC Conference Championship as well as three-time State District Titles in 2014, 2015, and 2016. The Warrior team also won FRCS’ first ever State Regional Title in 2015. In 2016, Coach Harris achieved his 100th Game Win with the Warriors.
Alison Lynn graduated with a Bachelor of Business Economics from Brock University, Ontario, Canada, in 1993. Alison then earned her TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) Certificate in Shanghai, China, in 2006
Alison was married in 1990 and has 3 children. She and her husband moved from Canada to the USA in 1999. The family was transferred to Shanghai, China, July, 2004, through July, 2009, for her husband’s career. Alison started an English program in a local migrant school and coordinated expatriate English-speaking volunteers to assist in the classroom. She worked alongside a community center and Lutheran-based international school to supply Operation Christmas Child gift boxes to these migrant students. Alison’s hobbies are travel, reading, swimming, photography, family gatherings, and playing the flute.
Alison has volunteered for the Athletic Dept. since returning from China in 2009, and worked as Booster Secretary and Concessions Leader and then Concessions Coordinator. Alison joined the FRCS team full-time in fall, 2015, as Athletics Administrative Assistant.
